False Representations - Circular To Members

Your association is concerned to note that there are an increasing number of reports being received that union officials, municipal officials and community liaison officers are making false representations that the minimum labour rate that is applicable to the civil engineering industry also applies to the building industry.

This is causing labour unrest in the building industry and should be guarded against. In cases of difficulty members are advised to insist that demands for civil engineering labour rates be submitted in writing along with documentary proof that civil engineering rates apply to the building industry.
