Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Seeks a Chief Executive Officer
The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) is a Schedule 3A public entity established by an Act of Parliament (No 38 of 2000: Construction Industry Development Board Act) to promote a regulatory and developmental framework that binds public and private sectors for sustainable growth, improved performance and delivery, and to enhance the construction industry's contribution to social and economic development in South Africa.
The requirements for this important appointment are:
- A relevant post-graduate degree;
- A minimum of five (5) years management experience at an executive level;
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities:
- Familiarity with Treasury Regulations, PFMA, PPPFA, King Reports II & III;
- Contract management and supply chain management frameworks;
- Understanding the dynamics of the construction industry;
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Construction Charter, policies and strategies and other government initiatives around issues of the construction industry transformation;
- Financial planning and budgeting skills.
