"Ukhuni Lodge", by Dicks Construction CC
The project called for the construction of a lodge consisting of a communal living area with 3 typical bedroom units, as well as a separate family bedroom unit, for use by a private individual.
It was built on a slope on the edge of the Lebombo mountain range and features spectacular views, overlooking a picturesque valley and dam. Impact on the valley below was given serious consideration and to this end, a flat roof was incorporated to reduce the presence of the structure against the Skyline.
The successful integration of natural and manmade landscape features, combined with quality workmanship and luxurious finishings, make it a worthy winner.
HIGHLY COMMENDED PROJECTS | HOUSE BROOK, BY EDSTAN & SON (Pty) Ltd House Brook is a free standing double storey luxury dwelling located within the up-market Nkwazi Ridge Estate. The design determined the inclusion of piling, reinforced concrete and beams, load bearing super structure brickwork, aluminum roof sheeting on a hot dipped galvanized steel roof structure, as well as purpose made aluminum windows and doors, all culminating in a home which emanates both elegance and class. |
