Victor Smith - Training Manager
Victor Smith was educated in Durban and after completing his teacher education, he taught at schools in both Johannesburg and Durban. After sixteen years as an educator, Victor joined a private training provider, where his functions included:
- Management of the Fundamentals Training Department;
- Management of special projects;
- Development of course curricula;
- Development of course material;
- Translation of SAQA curricula to training manuals;
- Research into good international business practice and the translation of this into course materials;
- Conducting adult training courses;
- Leading educational seminars and workshops;
- New Business Development; and
- Assessing ...
He was also closely engaged with the CETA; ESETA; Umalusi; and the Department of Education on various levels.
Four years later, Victor moved to the Master Builders Association of KwaZulu-Natal where he now serves as the Training Manager.
He currently represents employer stakeholders on the CETA Authority and on its Executive Committee. He is also a member of Master Builders Association of South Africa (MBSA) Education and Training Committee. |
