Established in 1984, R & I Construction has built itself a fine reputation and emerged as one of the leading home builders in Kwa-Zulu Natal. The company boasts investments not only in plant and equipment but also in trained human resources as well. Based on the north coast of Durban, our growing portfolio of successfully delivered projects reflects the skills, capabilities and vast experience that we bring to every scheme we work on. Our philosophy is called the 'R&I Way' and it is shaping and improving the built environment near you. With a proven track record, we have built several high specced home's in the Mt Edgecombe Golf Course Estate and remain to be a highly recommended contractor. As a result of our commitment and professionalism, we were awarded the Highly Commended Home Builder of the year Award from the NHBRC in August 2004. In 2005 R & I Construction cc expanded its interests into commercial buildings, completing a new Clothing manufacturing facility in the Mt Edgecombe Industrial Park and a multi-storey cable manufacturing building in Phoenix Industrial Park.

In 2009 we completed one of the largest high specced home's in Kwa-Zulu Natal which has an estimated real estate value of Fifty Million Rand (R 50 000 000.00). This project coupled with quality of work has earned us 1st place in the Govan Mbeki Housing award for none subsidized home's by the Department of Housing.

The company's relentless pursuit of excellence together with its procurement capabilities have proven be cost effective and have provided an edge in maintaining our pricing at competitive levels.

Environmental Policy Statement
At R & I Construction we are committed to fulfilling our social and environmental responsibilities, promoting sustainable development and minimising any potentially harmful effects of our business activities.

Refurbishment
The process of refurbishment and renovation is often complex and requires detailed planning to ensure the end result meets expectation. Our professional team have a wealth of experience of the process.

This includes demolition, structural repairs, rebuilding, restoration, mechanical & Electrical, decoration and finishes.
Throughout a project our contracts we work proactively to ensure that we are on schedule and are achieving the desired quality of finish on all aspects of the scheme.

New Build
R & I Construction has completed a number of successful new build projects and our skills and expertise is very strong in this area. We engage in selective new build projects for commercial clients where we have the appropriate skills and resources available to enable us to deliver a successful project.
