Gary Amstutz - Commercial and Online Manager
Gary Amstutz was born in Cape Town and spent much of his childhood travelling the world, as his father was a Civil Engineer with a large International Firm.
Gary studied law at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and completed his LLB in 1993. He then spent two years working and travelling overseas.
In 1996, an opportunity arose to open a PostNet Franchise in Richards Bay. Gary and his wife Laura, took the business from an unknown start-up, to the premier business and communications service centre in the region. The business won the regional franchise of the year competition and is currently being run by a very capable manager.
In 2005, Gary took his first steps into the online environment, having completed a course in Internet Marketing. RubberstampSA.co.za was launched in June and was one of the first true e-commerce websites in the country. The online business is now the leading online Rubber Stamp shop in South Africa and is particularly well know for its focus on delivering world class customer service. Gary recently handed over the reigns to his assistant, who now manages the day to day operations.
In 2007, Gary developed and launched another Internet Start-up, AdventureEscapades.co.za. The site focused on Adventure Tourism in South Africa and quickly became one of the most visited South African adventure tourism sites. Gary recently sold his share of the business to his former partner, in order to focus exclusively on his work at the Master Builders Association.
In September 2008, after having done some consulting work for the Master Builders, Gary accepted an offer to join the Association as their Commercial and Online Manager.
