WORKPLACE SKILLS PLAN

There is a significant advantage to be gained by submitting a workplace skills plan to CETA, It allows companies to claim back their mandatory grants and to access discretionary funding for free training.

The Association has appointed Tracy-Ann Thomas, an External Skills Development Facilitator, to assist companies with this task for this current year (Year 10).

Once downloaded, please cut and paste the appointment letter (Download I) onto your letterhead, complete the details required, ensure that its signed by a senior company official, and return the signed letter to Tracy-Ann by e-mail: mpowerment@telkomsa.net or fax number : 031 - 762-2309.

Companies are urged to then submit the required documentation as listed on the checklist (Download II) to Tracy-Ann Thomas by e-mail or fax number, as soon as possible in order for the Association to assist members with the submission of the documentation.

Members must note that the submission of this document to CETA is also imperative for points to be allocated under the skills development section of the BBBEE scorecard. Failure to submit will result in clients receiving nil points under this section of the scorecard.

The Association's Training Manager Victor Smith, who sits on the CETA Executive Committee and Gavin Strydom, The Association's President, who also chairs the CETA recommend that all members complete their Workplace Skills Plans and enjoy the benefits attached thereto.
