Bridge City Mall Safety Achievement Milestone

Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal congratulates Grinaker-LTA/Enza JV on having achieved a highly sought after milestone indicative of a company committed to Occupational Health and Safety excellence.

On the 15th August 2009 the Grinaker-LTA/Enza JV Bridge City Mall construction site in KwaMashu, reached the landmark figure of 2 million man-hours worked without a Lost Time Injury ( LTI ).

Resolute concern for the well-being of all employees, supported by an unwavering commitment towards improving performance in the area of Health & Safety, has culminated in what is an outstanding Industry accomplishment.
 
Grinaker-LTA/Enza JV Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager (SHEQ Manager) Martin Petoris Joseph commented that participating in all Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal Health and Safety competitions, reinforces the message that good Health and Safety is good for business.

“The site team is committed to ensuring that prevention of work related accidents remains a non-negotiable practice. Achieving 2 million LTI free hours is truly a reward that all persons working on this site can be proud of.

We can gladly say that we have put our slogan “Home Without Harm Everyone Everyday” into effective use and are proud to stand by our achievements.

This milestone is the work of all of our workforce, management, sub contractors and suppliers. Without their positive participation and commitment, this would not have been possible.”
