Invitation to participate in Rampathon Community Project

Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal is proud to announce the launch of a new community project - Rampathon 2010.  Through this project we aim to build a number of wheelchair access ramps, across KwaZulu-Natal, for families and communities that would not normally be able to afford them.

We are particularly excited about this project, as it is something that our members, staff, marketing partners and stakeholders can all get directly involved in.  Rampathon 2010 will benefit the communities in which our members work and will showcase the goodwill and community spirit of members of the Association.

The project will commence at the end of November 2010 and will run for two weeks, during which ramps will be constructed at various locations around the province.  Rampathon 2010 will culminate on 3 December 2010 (World Disability Day), with the official handover of each ramp to the recipients.

We would like to call on the following groups of people to assist in this project:

• Contractors - Labour and Project Management
• Associate Members - Supply of Services and Building Materials
• Marketing Partners - Ramp Marketing Packages
• Media Partners - Media Exposure for the project

All monies raised will go directly into this project.  Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal will provide the remaining administration, marketing and project management services.  The Association will also make a cash donation to the project and our staff will be able to volunteer to assist in the construction of the ramps.

Lookout for further updates over the next couple of months.  We will shortly be calling on nominations for deserving individuals and communities.  Application forms will be available on our website and at all of the Association's offices around the province.  Once we have ascertained exactly how many ramps we will be building, a panel will then select the 2010 recipients and the planning will start on each project.
