Construction Industry News and Views Edition 30 - June 2010
|
|
Dear Readers
As usual we have put together a variety of articles which we believe are of interest, insightful and enjoyable. This edition's lead article "KwaZulu-Natal Master Builders and Allied Industries Association - Annual Report" is a synopsis authored by recent past President Gavin Strydom, relating to a number of Industry pertinent matters. It also effectively covers a range of topics, which the Association receives a number of inquiries about:
- The Economy Generally
- Human Settlements
- Public Works
- State of the Industry
- Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA)
- Construction Industry Development Board
- Minimum Wage
- Green Building and the Environment
- Membership
- Best Practice
- Commercial Activities
- Finances
- Properties
I'd also like to draw your attention to the "Construction Industry Health and Safety Course" advertised down the right hand column. Readers are reminded that by law, everybody entering a construction site must receive Health and Safety Induction training, and must be in possession of proof of such training. For more information, click through on the banner link.
We hope you enjoy our Newsletter and don't allow last nights football result to get you down, we are not out of it yet.
