Regional Roundup: South Coast
 The Big and most talked about contract currently on the South Coast is the upgrade of the Wild Coast Casino, just South of Port Edward. The project is a huge undertaking to upgrade the existing complex at an estimated cost of R500 million. All rooms, suites and restaurants are to be refurbished and they are to introduce a brand new water theme park, for the entertainment of children and guests.
They are not taking any chances with respect to future load shedding by including an electric park with new generators in order to allow the complex to be totally self sufficient, in the event that Eskom doesn’t come to the party. In their business regular power cuts at peak times, could ultimately end up costing them a lot more than the installation cost.
Although the principle contractor appointed for the project is FHO Homes from the Eastern Cape, we trust that Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal members will also benefit from this major project.
There is lot on the go at the moment with regard to projects on the South Coast, however I don’t at this stage want to give too much away, as the town planner Thys Blom is a guest speaker at our regional Roadshow and is looking forward to filling you in.
A reminder that the Roadshow is to take place on the 17th March 2010 at the Port Shepstone Country Club and will start at 17H30. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
