Zululand: Regional Round Up
 Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal’s Zululand Region held its annual golf day at RBCC and with weather playing its part and pristine course conditions, the day was an absolute hoot.
Members, professional people, staff and industry stakeholders all added to the event being a tremendous success. With 100 players (25 teams) having taken to the course it was a fun filled day in which there were plenty of entertaining and memorable moments.
The Association’s marketing partners all benefited from the networking opportunity, new contacts were made while old acquaintances were reunited. Their contributions made the event possible and the Association thanks them. In no particular order they are: Corobrik, Lafarge, McCarthy Toyota, Bencon Projects, Torro Construction, uMhlatuze Architects, Mica BBS, Allvent Engineering, Tusk Umfolozi Casino, Leomat Construction, Afri-Loo, Builders Trade Depot, Alleys Industrial Services, Formscaff, and Plumbing Doctor.
After prize giving, participants and marketing partners were treated to drinks and a braai, prize winners were:

- Rhino Brick & Block,
- CSI Electrical
- Lindsay Smith Construction.
Attie Barrington won longest drive with Shaun Francis landing closest to pin.
In the past few months I have been attending several safety courses which are scheduled for completion towards the end of the year. The intension is to have somebody with the necessary safety qualifications on your doorstep, to provide assistance with minimal delay and turn around time. On the subject of safety, I remind members about the best practice safety audits and that if you do need help we are only a phone call away.
Whilst in the process of doing your safety audits, I will be updating your details and confirming your business activities to ensure that you are getting the best from the Association’s Find a Builder web module, so please bear with me and have your information ready.
We will be hosting a fishing competition over the last weekend of the month (29 & 30 May) at Meerensee Boat Club should you wish to participate, details are available from the regional office or boat club.
