To: All CETA Stakeholders

Dear valued stakeholders,

RE: APPOINTMENT OF REGIONAL PROJECT OFFICERS

The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) is calling upon constituent CETA stakeholders to nominate and/or identify appropriately experienced and qualified candidates for appointment to the post of Project Officer in the various regions.

The CETA acknowledges and appreciates the rapport between the CETA and constituent stakeholders who support the continued success of the Construction SETA. Accordingly, the CETA is requesting that stakeholders nominate and/or identify candidates to be appointed in the following regions as Project Officers:

  • Free State/Northern Cape
  • Western Cape
  • Gauteng/North West
  • Eastern Cape
  • KwaZulu-Natal
  • Limpopo/Mpumalanga

Please refer to the attached advert (published between 10 to 17 September 2010) for criteria with regards to the requirements, responsibilities and tenure of the candidates.

Please take note that the following must be highlighted with prospective candidates:

  • Travelling time will be covered under travelling cost and working times will be calculated from the time they commence the actual project assessment
  • Accommodation and travel costs will be incorporated into their contracts
  • Long distance travelling (any projects which require travelling in excess of 400km’s in a single trip) should include accommodation as well
  • All Officers once contracted on the project will be inducted.
  • This is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2011 (renewable, subject to the continued existence of the SETA and visible performance by the incumbents). The successful candidates will be expected to work 11 5-hour days per month.

Please submit your nominations to your nearest regional office by 30 October 2010.

The CETA thanks you for your cooperation and looks forward to many years of continued association and working together with you.

Yours sincerely,

Petrus Maoko | CETA: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
