Correction Notice to Draft Driven Machinery Regulations

Please note that the Minister of Labour has in  Government Gazette 34186 under GoN 299 on 8 April 2011 published a correction notice to the Draft Driven Machinery Regulations as per Government Notice No. 34052 published in the government gazette dated 4 March 2011.
 
The correction notice stipulates that GNR.163 is hereby corrected as follows: 

The Minister of Labour intends, in terms of section 43 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 on the recommendation of the Advisory Council for Occupational Health and Safety to repeal the Driven Machinery Regulations,1988 and supersede it by wording in accordance with the schedule.

Interested persons are invited to submit any substantiated comments or representations on the proposed regulations to the Director General, Department of Labour, Private Bag x 117, Pretoria, 0001 {for the attention of the Chief Inspector: Occupational Health and Safety), within 90 days of publication of this notice. 

Deadline for submissions is 7 July 2011.
