Proposed 2013 Calendar for Public Schools

The Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga in accordance with the powers vested in her in the National Policy Act has published the proposed 2013 Calendar for Public Schools for comment.

The notice in the form of a schedule containing information about the public and school holidays, the respective terms, the number of weeks and actual number of school days for the inland and coastal provinces was published in the media on 27 March 2011.Click here to see the schedule.

Interested persons are invited to comment on the proposal in writing within one month of the publication of the notice. 27 April 2011 the return date is a public holiday and those wanting to comment on the proposal should do so before that date.
