National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) Announces Revision of Home Building Manuals

In a public notice published on 11 December 2011, the NHBRC, a statutory entity established in accordance with the Housing Consumers Protection Measures Act,  having one of its mandates to establish and promote ethical and technical standards in the home building sector, gave notice of its intention to revise its Home Building Manuals Parts 1,2 and 3.

The revision of the Home Building Manuals is intended to reflect changes in the National Building Regulations, Standards, SANS 10400, new trends in materials and products and other sector developments. Once the revision and amendments are completed the NHBRC will publish the Home Building Manuals and give interested parties reasonable notice of the effective date of the amended NHBRC technical requirements.
