Minister of public works extends an invitation to retired engineers and artisans

EngineersMinister Gwen Mahlangu-Nkabinde of the national Public Works Department in a number of prominent advertisements in the printed media launched an initiative to retired, unemployed and not-yet qualified Engineers and Artisans to submit their CV`s to the Department of Public Works.

The aim of the Department is to create a database of Engineers and Artisans so that they can be utilised to assist the Department to deliver on its infrastructure development mandate, as well as contribute to job creation and a sustainable skills pipeline into the future.
Public Works is one of the key departments in rolling out the government`s infrastructure development programme by undertaking the construction, maintenance, and renovations of a large portfolio of government buildings utilising critical professional skills, including engineering and artisanship.

Interested persons are invited to submit their CV`s to any of the offices of the national Department of Public Works or to call the Department`s toll free number at 0800 782 542.
