Health and Safety Workshop to be presented in Zulu
Health and Safety Training in the Midlands Region has progressed exceedingly well over the last 12 months and we are now proud to be presenting our first Health and Safety Workshop in Zulu. Last year’s introduction of the Health and Safety Supervisor Workshop was met with great enthusiasm and has seen us train just about 100 people in this region alone, most of whom have gone on to implement Safety Management programs within in their respective organisations. Some have also taken advantage of our star grading process to further promote safety within their working environments.
The Health and Safety Workshop to be presented in Zulu will introduce attendees to the following practices:
- Safety Principles – This module focuses on why we need health and safety and covers basic principles that various experts have developed and that we have identified, as critical foundations for all person involved in construction. They also go a long way towards developing a culture of Health and Safety within an organisation.
- Legislation – Basic look at what legislation is applicable on a construction site, this is helpful in getting workers to understand that this is in fact law and not just a nice to have program.
- Inspections – How to perform basic inspections on construction sites and focuses on a variety of equipment and tools and how to identify the dangerous use of tools.
- Emergency – Takes a good look at various emergency situations and how to prevent or limit loss or injury. This is helpful in creating awareness which often can prevent accidents or injury.
The duration of the Workshop is 1 day and although focuses on the above, we also cover various additional aspects which are important elements relating to Construction Health and Safety. Should you wish to know more about this workshop or any other training we provide, we encourage you to contact your local regional office to find out more.
