The boardroom is a professional, comfortable and spacious meeting facility, ideal for constructive and effective, business interaction.

Elegantly styled in hardwoods with coordinated soft furnishings of afromosia oak, the venue can accommodate up to 220 delegates cinema style, or up to 80 delegates classroom style (with work tables).

This facility has all the necessary audio amenities and a raised presentation platform that allows both speaker and audience, greater visibility.

The room is able to be divided by a sophisticated soundproof partitioning system to create a smaller room, with an adjoining Ante Room. The Ante Room houses its own bar and is often used as a breakaway room, allowing drinks, snacks and interaction to take place in a more relaxed and social environment.

About this Room

The Boardroom, as the name suggests, was originally utilized exclusively, as the Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal Boardroom. During the period of relocation from the old St Andrews street building in 1985, an opportunity emerged to create new revenue streams and a decision was taken to rent out our facility as a conference and meeting venue.

The demand for such services in the Westville area fast became apparent. A decision was taken to make additional rooms available and to turn the initiative into a self sustaining business unit, in order to be able to provide a broader range of services to Members. The rest as they say is history.
