Following his application for professional registration with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Manager, a member and client of the Association was informed that he required courses in Management of Project Risk and Quality Management.

The member contacted the Association for assistance and after communication with SACPCMP regarding the content and validity of the courses, he attended the two courses as required.

It was with great excitement that he wrote to the Association on 22 November 2019 to express his gratitude that the courses offered had assisted him in attaining registration as a Professional Construction Manager.

"I have recently gone through the process of registering as a Professional construction Manager PrCM with the SACPCMP. After the final assessment interview the SACPCMP advised that they would only register me on condition that I attend a quality management and Risk management course with a suitably accredited training facility.

I asked Victor Smith from the KZN Master Builders Association to assist with enrolling me on a suitable programme. Victor went out of his way by communicating with the SACPCMP to ensure that the courses that they enrolled me on were acceptable. He then arranged that I could attend both courses in the same week. Once I had attended the courses, Victor forwarded all the required documentation to the SACPCMP on my behalf. Within two weeks thereafter the SACPCMP enrolled me as a PrCM.

I am extremely grateful for the assistance received from the Association, and recommend that one makes use of the services provided by them."

The Training Academy recommends the course ‘Contribute to the management of project risk within own field of expertise’ to its members, this course will teach the member to identify and recognise potential risks that could affect project performance, to contribute to the assessment of the impact and likelihood of identified risks. It will also train the member to contribute to the development of risk management statements and plans, and to monitor and control the project risks.
