Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal hosts important annual events for the KwaZulu-Natal construction industry. These events promote excellence in construction as well as Health & Safety, provide marketing opportunities and create networking opportunities.

The Excellence in Construction Awards

The Master Builders Association of KwaZulu-Natal Excellence in Construction Awards recognises and acknowledging excellence in construction. It culminates in a gala function attended by entrants and members of the construction value chain. 

The pursuit of excellence in construction is a particularly important calling, as buildings have a profound effect on their occupants and users - influencing and shaping the way in which we live, learn, work, contemplate and relax.

The Excellence Awards competition was launched in 2004 by the Association and was the first of its kind for a South African construction association.

Participation is open to all Association Members. The Adjudicators are experienced industry professionals who evaluate the standard of construction.

Health and Safety Awards

The requirements for Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) have become more demanding and contractors are required to maintain a high standard of OHS. 

The Health and Safety Awards acknowledges those members who consistently comply with Health and Safety legislation and are also committed to advocating and enhancing Health and Safety.

Golf Days

The Association arranges an annual golf day in Durban and on the South Coast. Golf remains an excellent way for members to network and to interact with suppliers. Opportunities are also provided to brand a tee-box. Please click here to learn more.

All the monies raised from the sponsorship of holes and prizes go towards the specific event. The objective is to make each golf day the premier golfing event in the region. Both of the Golf days conclude with a prize giving and dinner.
