On 8 August 2019 the Government Gazette published the long awaited CIDB Standard for Uniformity In Engineering And Construction Works Contracts. This Standard should result in conformity throughout South Africa on the entire tender process.

The Standard sets the parameters for all tender invitations, documentation, procedure and the opening of tenders.

The Association urges members to read the document in its entirety to fully understand the correct process that government departments, implementing agents and local authorities should be following.
