Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal would like to inform its membership that the Amended Codes of Good Practice in the Construction Sector have been promulgated and come into effect immediately. See PDF Download

The strategic objective of the amended Construction Sector Charter is providing a framework for the construction sector to address Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE), enhance the capacity of black contractors and black professionals, industry workers and the community and to increase the productivity of the sector to meet the world’s best practice. 

The Amended Construction Sector Code is applicable to the B-BBEE compliance measurement of all entities that fall within the Construction Sector. This Code is a compulsory tool for the construction industry sector and construction sector related entities do not have a choice of measurement. 

We urge all our members to familiarise themselves with the requirements of the codes and to comply accordingly. The Association will give support to all members and provide further insight into the codes via and workshops, a guideline and news bulletins.
