Patcon Building and Civil Engineering Contractors (Pty) Ltd commenced its operations in 1995 with sole member Mr. Suresh Raghubar. Over a period of 26 years, the company has expanded its skills base and transformed from a small business to a thriving organisation with prestigious accolades. The accumulation of awards and certifications amassed during the years of operation are proudly on display at the Patcon premises. The company previously specialised in the petrochemical environment and has evolved into a multi-skilled building and civil Construction organisation with a focus on added value.

The key to their success is identifying the value that can be contributed to their client’s projects. Patcon has made it their motto to become the best at what they do while continuously identifying ways to improve their service offering. In pursuit of this, Patcon had commenced with the task of implementing an integrated management system which conformed to the ISO 9001:2015 and OHSAS18001:2007 standards by the second quarter of 2018 and was able to achieve this by May 2018. This is in pursuit of ensuring that their services corroborate to the highest standards which include health, safety, and quality amongst others.

By April 2021, Patcon achieved further goals of implementing a Certified Integrated Management system aligned with the ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System; ISO14001:2015 – Environmental Management System, and ISO45001:2018 – Health and Safety Management System.

The foundation of Patcon’s existing Health & Safety management system was based on the Master Builders Health & Safety system.

Patcon Building and Civil Engineering Contractors (Pty) Ltd was the recipient of an International Safety Award from Petronas Malaysia for Safe Work Practices and Management Systems for the year 2008 and was awarded the 2008 Bronze medal in the Petronas International Group for Health and Safety.

Patcon have won the Regional Master Builders Health KwaZulu-Natal Health and Safety competition 16 years consecutively and for 14 years in the Master Builders South Africa National Safety Competition.

Patcon Building & Civil has contributed their success to a team of dedicated Directors, management, and staff who share the organisation's goals of continuously improving and putting their best “boot” forward.
