The Association is proud to collaborate with iLembe Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and their partners Balwin Foundation, ENGIE Peaker Operations, Balwin properties and Siza Water on the iLembe Emerging Contractors Programme 2021.

Twelve emerging contractor enterprises will undergo training over a seven month period on the following unit standards:

• Apply health and safety to a work area.
• Apply quality principles on a construction site.
• Understand and apply business finances.
• Manage construction resources.
• Setup and manage a construction contracting business.
• Read, interpret and use construction drawings and specifications.
• Tender for construction contracts.

Over and above the training intervention, these twelve enterprises have also begun the process of signing up as members of Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal where they will benefit from a wide range of services and benefits such as:

• Access to information such as website articles, newsletters, ebulletins and COVID-19 bulletins.
• Access to Private Projects.
• Access to Tender Information.
• Access to training and e-learning.
• Annual membership certificate.
• Discounts at commercial units such as Conference Centre, Print Studio, Mobile Clinic & Training Academy.
• Access to Employee Benefits (Retirement, Provident, Holiday Pay).
• Invite to member meetings.
• Labour Relations assistance and advice.
• Listing on Master Builders KZN App.
• Listing on find a builder and / or find a supplier online web directory.
• Lobbying: Government, Suppliers, Key Industry Stakeholders.
• Assistance with legal issues (Dispute resolution, compliance issues, contractual).
• Health and safety advice and assistance.
• Telephonic support relating to any issues ranging from Building Services, compliance issues, Health & Safety.
• Access to Association networking events (Annual Awards, membership meetings, workshops, golf days, sport days).
• Access to exposure via web articles.
