When members are asked to pinpoint the most cherished services among a plethora of options, the responses tend to align with their immediate requirements. For instance, individuals grappling with health and safety predicaments - who may very well be navigating solutions through our support system - will likely highlight the value of Health and Safety services. Likewise, folks on an expedition for conflict resolution in contractual disputes would promptly tag Contractual and Legal as an invaluable resource! Lobbying and advocacy as a valued benefit is the foundation of services, and the Association treats it with the utmost importance. These practices involve delicate high-level negotiations with stakeholder bodies to create improved trading conditions across our sector. Any proposed legislation that comes up for comment is subjected to rigorous scrutiny by the Association which always requests input from its esteemed members, before submitting comments to Government. The organisation also boasts an extensive network of key industry role players with whom it frequently collaborates, in order to achieve common end goals for the betterment of the sector. The lobbying and advocacy role proved to be paramount, during the turbulent times of COVID-19. Those who were members at the time will attest to the pivotal impact it had on reactivating the sector in totality under Level 3, commencing from 1 June 2020 - an action that breathed much-needed relief into the lives of members. Accompanying this breakthrough came numerous obligations which were meticulously broken down by the Association and delivered directly to members via COVID-19 eBulletins. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Association stood by its members every step of the way. Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal excels in being the leading voice of the construction industry in KwaZulu-Natal, a resounding proclamation bolstered by our vast membership. Whenever lobbying government or other stakeholders, we proudly declare that we speak for over 600 employers. However, it is crucial that we continuously foster and broaden our member base, as there is strength in numbers. If for example, we could boast representing 1000 employers instead... it would truly amplify the impact. As we strive towards achieving our goal, we beseech you to ignite a fire within your subcontractors and acquaintances in the industry, inspiring them to join as members. Should you know of anyone with an inclination towards embarking on this journey, do not hesitate to furnish their information to your Area Manager who will smoothly guide them through the process. Keep in mind that membership offers tremendous value to contractors, and with the Association's referral programme, you will receive a discount on your annual subscription should they join. The Association remains committed to cultivating a flourishing and resilient construction industry by fostering an atmosphere that inspires growth and productivity. Should you require any assistance please contact the Association. Ernest Roper Membership Manager
