From the inception of the business to 23 years later, the business continues to thrive under the leadership of Vin Naidoo.  Thekweni Reinforcing (Pty) Ltd reflects a sound business practice and corporate social organisational culture of a Broad-Based BEE company that is underpinned by service excellence, creating new opportunities and growing people and communities that service the industry.  From a relatively small rebar yard in Stanger, north of Durban the company has grown to 4 branches namely, Stanger, Phoenix, Richards Bay & Hammarsdale. It is fair to say that a lot has been achieved over the years.

With a focus on Corporate Social Investment, Thekweni Reinforcing has supported various community-based projects. This business has also been instrumental in ensuring the completion of the first & second phase of the much-needed Umhlatuzana Community Centre in conjunction with the Umhlatuzana Civic Association.  This building stands tall and proud and is the venue for many celebrations in the community.
