 POST-TENSIONING

Thekweni Reinforcing is also proud to offer the post-tensioning option for post-tensioned slabs in the construction of buildings. With a combined 55 years of post-tensioning experience, you are assured of the best options for your project. Although we have been in the market for 3 years, Thekweni Reinforcing has become an established player in this field.

We offer the following services:

• Post-Tensioning design, supply and installation.
• Post-Tensioning supply and installation
• Expertise and input at the design stage
• Post-Tensioning feasibility assessment

ADVANTAGES OF POST-TENSIONING

• Longer spans between columns.
• Thinner slab thicknesses are possible.
• Due to the above two points, noticeable material savings are achievable.
• Higher load capacity compared to conventionally reinforced concrete.
• Formwork can be removed after approximately 7 days with only nominal back propping left in place. Allows for faster cycling of formwork.
